Connecting Google Analytics 4

Connect Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to Yohaku to track traffic, engagement, and conversions for your generated Japanese SEO articles.

Pro and Enterprise plans only

Google Analytics 4 integration is available on the Pro ($149/mo) and Enterprise ($499/mo) plans. Upgrade from Settings → Billing to access this feature.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account with access to a GA4 property
  • GA4 set up and collecting data on your website (the GA4 tracking code must be installed on your site)
  • A Yohaku Pro or Enterprise plan

Setup Steps

1

Navigate to Integrations

In your Yohaku dashboard, go to Integrations → Google Analytics 4 and click the "Connect" button.

2

Sign in with your Google account

You will be redirected to Google's sign-in page. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your GA4 property.

3

Grant permission

Google will ask you to grant Yohaku permission to read your Analytics data. Review the permissions and click "Allow". Yohaku only requests read-onlyaccess — it cannot modify your Analytics settings or tracking configuration.

4

Select your GA4 property

After authentication, you will be returned to Yohaku. Select your GA4 property from the dropdown list. If you have multiple properties, choose the one associated with the website where your articles are published.

What Data Is Shown

Once connected, Yohaku pulls the following metrics from Google Analytics 4 for your published articles:

  • Page views— how many times each article has been viewed
  • Users— unique visitors to each article
  • Engagement rate— percentage of engaged sessions (sessions lasting more than 10 seconds, or with a conversion event, or with 2+ page views)
  • Average engagement time— how long visitors spend reading your articles
  • Traffic sources— where your article visitors are coming from (organic search, social, direct, referral)

Tips

Data delay: GA4 data is typically available within 24-48 hours. Newly published articles may not show data immediately.
Multiple properties: You can only connect one GA4 property at a time. To switch properties, disconnect the current one from the Integrations page and connect a new one.
Combined with GSC: For the best SEO insights, connect both Google Search Console and GA4. GSC shows how your articles perform in search, while GA4 shows what happens after users click through.
